Overview

Effective communication is an essential skill in today’s fast-paced business world.
Effective communicators understand that communication is a complex process that can
often be challenging.
Creating an organization in which communication is truly valued in more than just a
good idea; it’s good business. Organizations that choose to foster good communication
skills will aid their employees in both their professional and personal development.
This module will discuss the following:
• Communicating effectively.
• Nonverbal communication.
• Listening effectively.
• Practicing using communication tools.
• Enhancing your communication skills.

About Our Instructor

Dawn holds a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership & Supervision from Purdue University and a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Grace Theological Seminary. She combines both of her educations to lead and teach both men and women in such topics as leadership, emotional intelligence, trust, positive impact and effective communication.

Dawn has more than 20 years experience in sales/marketing, administration, finance, and non-profit leadership. She has partnered with 360 Solutions of Waco, TX for her certification in training curriculum from the Center for Organizational Design, authored by Dr. Roger Allen and Mr. Preston Pond. This curriculum has been used successfully in many Fortune 500 companies including Ford Motor Company, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Proctor & Gamble, and many more.

Directions:		NIIC is located at the northeast corner of Stellhorn Road and Hobson Road. Enter from either Stellhorn or Hobson. Follow signs to NIIC parking.
