Paid to Think
Thursday, September 30, 2010 - 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM
Every day you face challenges on the job, and if you’re like most leaders and managers, you’re looking for the best short and long-term solutions to those challenges. But like your colleagues, you may have questions about what those solutions should be. After interviewing 1400 leaders and managers from around the globe and in a wide variety of industries and sectors, NYU Professor and top leadership and management advisor David Goldsmith uncovered striking similarities in their challenges and solutions, and he discovered the 13 activities that the most successful decision makers perform on a daily basis.
He rolled the information into his new book, Paid to Think…this is not the ‘Seven Attributes of Leadership’ or ‘How to Motivate Your Employees in Three Easy Steps,’ it’s a serious practical proven approach to leading and managing others that you can apply as soon as you learn it.
Now David joins us to reveal those activities to you and to give you an overview of what types of skills and ‘tools’ you will need to solve your challenges, transform your organization, and build success faster than you ever thought possible. When you’re done, you’ll never look at your role as a leader and manager the same way again.
